City DD — Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026 · Governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the City DD website at citydd.ca and all delivery services provided by City DD ("we", "us", "our"), operating in British Columbia, Canada. By booking a delivery or using our website, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1Services
1.1City DD provides same-day, rush, next-day, early pickup, and batch courier delivery services within the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, Canada.
1.2Service availability is subject to driver availability, weather conditions, and geographic coverage. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
1.3Estimated delivery timeframes (90-min Rush, Same-Day, Next-Day) are targets, not guarantees. City DD is not liable for delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather, third-party actions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
1.4City DD engages drivers as independent contractors. Notwithstanding this arrangement, City DD accepts responsibility for the courier services performed on its behalf in accordance with these Terms.
2Pricing and Payment
2.1All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes. GST (5%) will be added to invoices once City DD is registered for GST purposes. City DD will notify business clients when GST registration takes effect.
2.2Price estimates provided by the online calculator are estimates only. Final pricing is based on actual distance travelled (measured by GPS), verified parcel weight, service tier selected, and applicable add-ons.
2.3Payment for individual bookings is due at the time of booking unless a business account with invoicing terms has been established.
2.4Business accounts are subject to net-30 payment terms unless otherwise agreed in writing. Overdue invoices bear interest at 2% per month (24% per annum) from the due date.
2.5City DD reserves the right to suspend service for accounts with outstanding balances exceeding 30 days.
2.6Prices are subject to change without notice. Changes do not affect confirmed bookings.
3Booking and Cancellation
3.1Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of booking confirmation by email, phone, or through our online platform.
3.2Cancellations made before a driver is dispatched are free of charge.
3.3Cancellations made after a driver has been dispatched to the pickup location will incur a cancellation fee of $10 or 50% of the quoted delivery price, whichever is greater.
3.4No-shows (driver arrives at pickup location and cannot access the parcel or reach the customer within 10 minutes) will be treated as cancellations after dispatch. The full delivery fee may be charged.
3.5City DD reserves the right to cancel any booking if the parcel exceeds weight or size limits, contains prohibited items, or if delivery cannot be safely completed. A full refund will be issued.
4Parcels and Prohibited Items
4.1Maximum parcel weight is 50 lbs (22.7 kg) per item. Maximum dimensions are at the driver's discretion based on vehicle capacity.
4.2The following items are strictly prohibited and will not be transported:
- Hazardous, toxic, flammable, or explosive materials
- Illegal goods, controlled substances, or firearms
- Live animals or insects
- Human remains or biological specimens (except through our Chilled/Pharma service with prior written arrangement)

- Perishable food items (except through our Chilled service)
- Items requiring temperature control below 2°C or above 25°C (except through our Chilled/Pharma service)
4.3By booking a delivery, you confirm the parcel does not contain prohibited items. You are solely responsible for any costs, fines, damages, or legal consequences arising from undisclosed prohibited items.
4.4City DD reserves the right to inspect parcels where there is reasonable suspicion of prohibited contents.
4.5TRANSPORT AGENT ONLY — PHARMACY AND MEDICAL ITEMS: City DD acts solely as a transport agent when handling pharmaceutical, medical, or clinical items. City DD is not a licensed pharmacy, medical provider, or regulated health professional. We transport sealed, pre-packaged items on behalf of licensed healthcare businesses (pharmacies, clinics, medical offices) only. City DD does not open, inspect, verify, dispense, or take responsibility for the contents of medical or pharmaceutical packages beyond acting as a secure transport intermediary. Customers booking pharmacy or medical deliveries represent and warrant that they are a licensed healthcare business and that all items comply with applicable regulations.

- Loss, theft, or damage to any parcel or its contents
- Delayed, missed, or failed deliveries
- Indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages
- Loss of revenue, profits, business, contracts, or anticipated savings
- Loss of data or information

- Damages arising from inaccurate addresses, contact information, or instructions provided by you
5.4YOU ASSUME FULL RISK FOR THE CONTENTS OF ANY PARCEL YOU TENDER TO CITY DD. CITY DD DOES NOT INSPECT, VERIFY, OR INSURE PARCEL CONTENTS UNLESS EXPRESSLY AGREED IN WRITING IN ADVANCE.
5.5IF YOU REQUIRE COVERAGE BEYOND THE LIMITS IN SECTION 5.1, YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING YOUR OWN INSURANCE FOR THE ITEMS BEING SHIPPED PRIOR TO BOOKING.
5.6CLAIMS PROCEDURE: Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing to mycitydd@gmail.com within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery time. Claims submitted after 72 hours will not be accepted. You must provide: (a) proof of the item's value, (b) the order confirmation number, and (c) photographic evidence of damage where applicable. Failure to comply with this procedure constitutes a waiver of any claim.
5.7Nothing in these Terms limits City DD's liability for death or personal injury caused by City DD's gross negligence or fraud, to the extent such limitation is prohibited by applicable BC law.
5.8INSURANCE: City DD maintains commercial auto insurance for its delivery operations as required by ICBC. However, City DD does not maintain cargo insurance or goods-in-transit insurance as a standard part of its service. Customers who wish to insure the value of items being shipped are solely responsible for obtaining their own coverage prior to booking. City DD's maximum liability remains as set out in Section 5.1.
6Proof of Delivery
6.1Delivery is considered complete when the driver delivers the parcel to the specified drop-off address and captures a timestamped photo confirmation.
6.2If no one is available at the drop-off location, the driver will attempt to contact the Customer by phone. If unable to reach the Customer, the driver may leave the parcel in a safe location at their discretion or return the parcel. A re-delivery fee may apply.
6.3The photo confirmation constitutes proof of delivery and is final.
7Customer Responsibilities
7.1You are responsible for ensuring the parcel is properly packaged, labelled, and ready for pickup at the scheduled time.
7.2You are responsible for providing accurate pickup and drop-off addresses. Incorrect addresses that cause failed deliveries or re-routing will be charged at the driver's discretion.
7.3You must ensure a responsible person is available to hand over the parcel at pickup, or that the parcel is accessible as arranged.
7.4You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless City DD, its owners, employees, drivers, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, fines, penalties, and legal fees (on a full indemnity basis) arising from or related to: (a) your use of our services; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) the contents of any parcel you tender; (d) inaccurate information you provide; (e) your improper packaging or labelling; or (f) any third-party claims related to items you shipped through City DD.
