This Privacy Policy explains how City DD collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website or delivery services. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1Who We Are
City DD is a courier delivery service operating in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, Canada. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2What Personal Information We Collect
- When you use our price calculator: Pickup and drop-off addresses (used only to calculate distance and generate a price estimate — not stored permanently).
- When you place a booking: Full name, phone number, email address, pickup address, drop-off address, selected service tier, and any delivery instructions you provide.
- When you set up a B2B business account: Business name, contact name, email, phone number, and billing address.
- When you use our website: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (collected automatically by our platform and analytics tools — see Section 5).
- Delivery photos: A timestamped photo is captured at the point of delivery as proof of delivery.
3Why We Collect It and How We Use It
- To fulfill your delivery booking and communicate its status with you
- To generate and send invoices and booking confirmations
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer service
- To improve our website and services using anonymous analytics data
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
4How Long We Keep It
- Booking records (name, addresses, contact info, price): Retained for 2 years for invoicing and dispute resolution purposes.
- Delivery photos (proof of delivery): Retained for 90 days, then deleted.
- Price calculator address entries: Not stored — they exist only in your browser session.
- B2B client records: Retained for the duration of the business relationship plus 2 years.
- Call records: Retained for 6 months for customer service purposes.
5Third-Party Services We Use
Your data is processed by the following trusted third-party services as part of delivering our service:
Google Maps API (Alphabet Inc., USA)
Your addresses are sent to Google to provide autocomplete suggestions, distance calculations, and routing. Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics 4 — GA4 (Alphabet Inc., USA)
We use GA4 to understand how visitors use our website (pages visited, time on site, clicks). This data is anonymous and aggregated. You can opt out using the cookie consent banner on this site, or via Google's opt-out tool.
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Inc., USA)
We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. You can opt out via the cookie consent banner or via Facebook's Ad Preferences.
Resend (Resend Inc., USA)
We use Resend to send booking confirmation emails, invoice emails, and status update emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver these messages. Resend does not use your data for marketing.
Base44 (our website platform)
Our website is hosted on Base44, which collects standard server logs and platform analytics.
6Cookies
Our website uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Functional: Google Maps requires cookies to operate the address search and distance calculator.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to track anonymous site usage (only if you consent).
- Advertising: Meta Pixel uses cookies to measure ad performance (only if you consent).

In the event of a data breach that poses a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the applicable Privacy Commissioner as required by law.
9Children
Our services are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at citydd.ca/privacy with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
